1967 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS
The owner of this car is ready to take the plunge: full resto-mod treatment including
a mini-tub, QUADRAlink, and DSE hydroformed front subframe. This car will be a
full rotisserie restoration/modification. There will be rust removal and extensive
sheetmetal replacement necessary. This is an original RS/SS car.
The car was hit in the rear, requiring replacement of the taillight
panel, and kinking both frame rails. The rails will be replaced,
along with the left side quarter panel. The trunk floor must be
relieved for the new DSE rear upper shock crossmember, and the
inner wheel tubs must be removed for the deeper DSE
replacements. DSE subframe connectors will also be installed.
Everything is fit multiple times prior to welding.
The '67 Camaro received the full resto-mod treatment, and the DSE kit allows for more tire at every corner (Forgeline wheels):
Front: 275/35/ZR18
Rear: 335/30/ZR18
Since the ride height is adjustable, the stance can be fine tuned to give it a very mean look:
The rough metalwork is finished and the car is in DP-90 epoxy primer. All applicable bracketry has been
welded onto the 12-bolt rearend. The hydroformed subframe and coilovers are installed to adjust ride height.
The 335/30/ZR18 rear tires are huge, and give the car an imposing stance.
An aluminum radiator and aluminum core support are installed. The car will be getting an LS-based engine.
Completely disassembled, pictured on our rotisserie, for sandblasting.
All components stripped, sandblasted, and epoxy primed after any metal replacement.
