Work continues on getting the flares right for this car.
Next stage in the process- glasswork
basically done, ready for the time consuming
process of grinding and finishing.
Left-rear flare being prepared for fiberglass. These photos do not do
justice to the amount of painstaking labor involved in doing the job
correctly and professionally. Note thickness of fuel door aperture,
giving a great idea just how much wider this car is in the rear. This
will be thinned back out from the back side for uniform thickness.
Note how much grinding and sanding and finishing
work remains. Doing these cars right is a long and
tedious process, but it always creates amazing results.
This photo shows the backside of the right rear flare, after
the original panel and related material has been removed.
Holes had to be made for clearance and fitment issues
as car will be using a factory Z06 Corvette exhaust.
